Spotter's alert (A380 visit CYUL - Nov 12)
Through the grapevine......
Air France to operate a test flight (CDG - YUL) on Nov 12 2007. A380 scheduled departure CDG at 11:00am arriving Pierre Elliot Trudeau at 12:35pm.
Returns to CDG Nov 15 at 10:00pm.
Dedicated aircraft unknown at this time.
Best spotters viewpoint for arrival (in my opinion) is at the north end of Blvd Pitfield (just off of Cote Vertu) provided aircraft lands 24R.

In theory the plane will land on 24R (not sure what the runway length requirements are, but I suspect the longer the better) and it will also get a more straight in run to the gates - plus I suspect it will be a more media friendly arrival.
Best viewing space would be the road that leads to the airport fire station and such, but it is a no parking zone and I suspect it will be heavily patrolled.
24L would be wonderful, because there is a ton of good viewing space.

This is a my sig... I hope you like it.
24R has more spots.....there is a road that goes parallel to the runway on the north side. You can see everything there.....or you can take that road which intersects the flightpath, if you want to go under it

Asking a pilot about what he thinks of Transport Canada, is like asking a fire hydrant what does he think about dogs.
