Anybody have any info on Spar IE wages,what they are like to work for etc

I did a short work stint there a few yrs back but not sure how it is now.

I think they are picking up a few contracts since they lost the DND but not super busy.

My experience was not so good mainly because of one "team leader" or crew chief. He was also a union head honcho and my thoughts when leaving were---any company who has this man as a leader I don't want to work for ---and --- any group of professionals who elect this man as their union leader I don't want to work for.

i was hired on as a structures apprentice last september. before i was even there for a year a good chunk of us were laid off. the union is also very hard-core there and you have to watch what you say. i enjoyed working on the C-130s and i had a pretty good crew and an awesome crew chief. management on the other hand were not fun to work with. if you want job security go somewhere else. cheers
