Can't even begin to imagine what the insurance cost would be for that!! Did you actually do the 5 solo take-offs and landings?
I think you will find that the -3t is a much easier airplane to fly than a 172 or 180 on floats.

I just want to know which insurance company will cover a -3t for a pilot with 0 hours on floats for commercial operation. I think there are a lot of operators that would like the name of that insurance company today.

I'm sure any insurance company will offer that coverage so long as you pay big $$$$ in premiums!

It does pose some interesting questions.
Did the policy cover you for public liability?

Just watch him try to dock it though!!! Tee hee hee. He went swimming the last time! I still think it needs sharks teeth painted on it.
Cat, it didn't cost him anything. The employer covered the costs. Good company to work for.

Why did you delete your posts? A few of our high time wheel guys have felt the urge to become bush pilots and switch over to the -3t's. The boss was for it but insurance balked. It's too bad, they probably would have done a great job.

I'll bet that would be the same ex-military guy that says it's ok to work out of gravel strips that are much too short.
