If you can't climb to 1300 and stay visual you are below limits for the departure.

You also get some really awful local weather from the stinky pulpmill that can mess you up.

Its probably 10 years or more since I was in Quesnel, and at least that long since I looked at a plate!

Furthermore wouldn't you require 1 3/4 Vis for the approach ban into QZ on the RNAV approach?
I was wondering if that would get mentioned. oldtimer didn't specify that I was a commercial operator, could be my navajo.

I disagree xsbank.

Where does it say that I have to use the spec vis departure published? The only time you absolutely have to follow the departure procedure is on a SID or if you cannot ensure your own terrain clearance.

I think that the only way you could do this is to have a company approved aproach allowing you to decend visual to a staight in as long as you where 1000 above passing the final approach fix

As far as departing YQZ I'd just depart special VFR and fly up the Frasier River... looking at the VNC that Oldtimer gave me...
