Asian carriers

Hi

I was watching CTV last when they were showing the Cathay Pacific flight making an emergency landing in Vancouver and the host was talking about how a lot of Canadian trained pilots fly for carriers like Cathay Pacific. Does anyone know if this is true? Or Asian carriers in general?

Yes it is true. Lots of Canadian and other non-Asian pilots fly for Cathay Pacific.

the Cathay Flight didnt even declare an emergency, just had a flap issue and returned for an uneventful landing.

Now, how can you sell newspapers with "Uneventful Landing" or tease the TV viewers.
