Employee Parking at YYZ

Post by anyways »

Hey,

I'm a recent transplant to the GTA/Pearson, and was wondering how strictly they enforce parking rules in the employee lot? I'm going away for a couple weeks over xmas and was planning to park my car there, but don't want to wind up getting towed. I do have an employee parking pass.

Thanks in advance!

Answering a question with a question: how much effort do you think the GTAA will expend to "track" how long each car has been in that maze of a parking lot???

Well they must do something to justify all the money we pay them to use their 'facility' haha. Have you ever parked there for a long period?

Heres how much of a joke it is there.

About 2 months ago I was parked there while at work. I didn't put my parking tag on the mirror proper and at some point it fell off. My car was there for 2 nights, I got 2 tickets. Each $30

I went to the court house about it(where you pay the tickets), the chick I was dealing with was a complete bitch. I should my ID's nothing at all.

I call about a week later and talked on the phone and was only able to get outta one of them.

So 2 weeks, mmm personally I wouldn't risk it now. But as said if you park on in the nose bleeds you'll probably be ok.

It does get monitored - saw some ticket guys walking around checking for tags a couple of weeks ago / if you have a pass though it's a non issue I would think.

I think you'll be fine for a few weeks.

I imagine that many flight crew members leave their cars there for weeks at a time.

Thanks for the replies! I'm up on level 5. If you don't see a GTAA bashing thread appear in a few weeks then it worked out hehe..

Thanks again!

Kudos to whoever parked in the roadway on Level 5B-C between parking spots today - well done, I hope the tow-truck was gentle  Anyone else notice that drivers are ignoring the One-Way rules and it has been a high-speed, wrong way free-for-all in there lately. Just a matter of time...

And WTF is with the speed bumps?
Even when crossing at .025 mph, they are shaking my little piece of crap to pieces.

I am a commuter, and regularly leave my ride there for weeks at a time.

Maybe the speed bumps are their new cash crop. I hope they harvest them soon.
