I think the OP is pretty brainless to even post that here. Like others have said, if your applying for a company like Air Canada and you don't have your shit together, you don't deserve the job.

I remember when I was doing my initial interview for AC as a flight attendant, one of the girls in the group asked me what I thought would be involved in the medical. When I mentioned a possible drug test, she freaked out and said "I just smoked weed last week!" in hearing range of the managers. LOL, I still crack myself up thinkin about it. I never did see her flying around.

If you get a piss test, your O.K. 8)

If you get a hair test, then your screwed!
(you better start shaving!)

I have never been to an airline interview.........but what kind of test would they do @ AC?

Asking a pilot about what he thinks of Transport Canada, is like asking a fire hydrant what does he think about dogs.

Agreed!

Well said, couldn't agree more.

Inverted2 wrote:Oh please........ If someone smoked pot in the past, the only difference is the legality of it compared to alcohol. You might as well say that anyone who drank in the past shouldn't fly a plane either.
I have to agree with Inverted2 here. As far as I know neither pot nor alcohol have any long term effects as long as they are used responsibly, and I have seen and heard of a lot of pilots using the latter, although legal, irresponsibly before flight (ie. excessively with less than 12 or 24 hours before departure). Remember the rules prohibit flying within 8 hours but also "while under the influence", which may be a lot more. I don't smoke and hardly drink, but there are a lot worse and less safe pilots out there then someone who enjoys a good party every now and then. "Responsibly" is the key here!
