Newly liscenced Tech responsibility

Post by still_bluenoser »

Almost one month now till E liscenced, and I still feel like I am not ready for the liscence. Just wondering what others experiences were with their company, how much the company expected of you, and how anyone felt about themselves around that time.

Sir;

You will do just fine. If you are fortunate enough to work in a shop with some good people, they will be happy for you when you get the ticket and they will watch out for you. The thing is to keep asking questions and most of all, talk to someone if you screw up.
I had mentors who I shall never forget and I am sure you will as well.
And don't be afraid to ask questions. When you get to my age, you find yourself still asking them. Nobody is going to expect you to know everything at this stage of the game and the longer it goes on, you will find out for sure that you don't know everything.
Good luck and enjoy your career.

Regards

Ya, don't worry about it. The license doesn't mean that you are prepared to automatically take on the responsibility of an experienced AME. Good luck and never sign anything that you are not comfortable with.
