I put in my WestJet application last week.
I have over 7500 hrs flight time, slightly more than that in multi-engine turbine equipment.
Out of sheer curiosity, how long does the application process take?
I thought the Workopolis site was very clunky and awkward, and it doesn't inspire much confidence.....
How often does WJ go through to do interview invites, etc....
What is competitive minimums to get an interview?
Anybody who's been through the process recently want to shed some light on it.....
Thanks in advance,
Scuppster

Re: WestJet app
We choose about 16 candidates a month for interviews making it very competitive amongst the 2500 plus applicants on file. The short answer is it could take a few weeks, months or years. Variables considered are background, total time and quality, mpic, Simulator or airline experience to name a few. An internal recommend is common but not limiting as well.
Everyone eventually gets their resume looked at within a few weeks of applying, thus registering a hit.
Workopolis, unfortunately has it's difficulties, however it is about the best resume tool on the market. Not many software companies have targeted this market. Lately it has been running relatively smooth.
Respectfully,
Dave.
