Just curious how many OMNR pilots are there on here and your stories of how you got on with them?

Feel free to PM if you don't want to post.

Does MNR keep any of their twin otters on wheels year round? Do they hire strictly wheels pilots for them or do they want floating time too?

Rudy they never hire just wheeled pilots. All Twin Otter guys firefight with them on amphib floats during the summer, fly on wheels rabies baiting all over eastern Canada and the US in the fall and winter months. The one we keep on wheels year round is on tundra tires so most are also checked for off strip work and rotate between it and the amphibs during the summer months.

Hope this helps!

Hicks and Lawrence has the detection and birddog contracts in ontario. The mins for a detection pilot on the C337 are 1000TT and 100MPIC and for a birddog pilot on the AC50, 2000TT and 300MPIC. Birddog pilots have generally gone through the detection program then moved up when a spot becomes available. See the job ads section for the job posting if interested in applying for this coming season.
