Canadians Flying in Brazil

Post by SAA340-600 »

Hello everyone

I am just curious to know if anyone has flown(working) recently in brazil and if so, could they elaborate on operations down there or if any conversions are required. There has to be a great deal of bush flying if i am not mistaken?

sorry if is the wrong place to post. :S

cheers

You have to be a permanent resident or brazilian citizen to be able to fly a brazilian registered aicraft for hire. Converting licenses is not a big problem but having the right to work is.
Lots of hiring happening right now. Lots of bush flying, air taxi and especially airlines (the biggest airline here hiring at least 40 pilots each month).
If you have any other questions pm me.

I'd be interested in knowing if they allow Portuguese nationals to work there.

Just came across this story today, looks like a pretty amazing job! Makes me want to get back together with the Brazilian girl I dated last year!

Flying airplanes is easy, you just need to PAY ATTENTION. Finding a good job on the other hand takes experience, practice, and some serious talent.
