Where did the NAC pilots go?
Just wondering where some of you ended up? Are any of you still looking for work?

I think five or so have gone to Bravo, a few to Wasaya, a bunch are trying the Jazz route, one went to Georgian, one went out east, one went to Thunder. That only covers about 15 of us, I'm not sure what the other 35 or so are up to. I'm guessing Bearskin will take a few.

Re: Where did the NAC pilots go?
I think that a few of them decided to take the route of their former owners. They were unemployed, had nothing to do with their lives now. So they got a P.O. for a 9 seater, took it up north, and held a conference with the leaders of a couple of the communities that pulled the plug on their livelihood. Tempers flared and the pilots threated to beat the community leaders unless they restarted NAC. In the end, cooler heads prevailed and it was decided to reconvene every 2 weeks for the foreseeable future, to attend conferences on what may or may not happen to NAC and the pilots.
In the meantime, the unemployed pilots of NAC told the community leaders that their own personal communities were "in crisis" now that they had no job; and the government funding supplied by EI was not sufficient to sustain them. The pilots threatened to blockade the runways of the northern communities of Fort Hope and Sachigo unless they were given more funding, and compensation for the loss of income due to the actions of the northern leaders. The leaders of these communities are now attending a conference in New Zealand to discuss the threat from the pilots. The initial indication according to the northern leaders though is that this entire mess is the fault of Stephen Harper and the Conservatives.
I'll keep you all posted as further developments from the conferences materialize.

Please do as there will be thousands of us waiting to see how much they learned on how to get their way with the system....I'll keep you all posted as further developments from the conferences materialize.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Three of us have.
Oh here's another comment: . Norris Counted to Infinity TWICE!!
As far as I know only a few have not found work yet, some joined the EI Ski team or used this as a break to spend with family after there Tour of Duty in the Green zone ended. it will take them a while to adjust back to the civilization, It has being reported that more NAC veterans returning from posts in YTH and YXL are being diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the numbers are expected to grow as more and more pilots sober up and return home.
Many doctors state that although the treatment is getting a lot better at addressing the issue of mental illness, many NAC Pilots/Rampies are not seeking treatment, due to the stigma that is associated with flying a PC-12.
