First Officer C208 (Sunwest Aviation Ltd - call backs?
I'm just curious if anyone applying heard anything back?

Re: First Officer C208 (Sunwest Aviation Ltd - call backs?
I applied on the 28th of december and when I called to follow up the application the HR lady (who was very nice on the phone) told me she had recieved 300 applications. With that many I have no idea how anyone could go though them all. If any one did get called I would have to assume they were lucky enough to be on the top of the pile.

Trust me guys and gals, you don't want to fly right seat in a Van, I fly one, and there is nothing to do in the right seat, keep your heads up, and look for a multi twin right seat, it will get you much further ahead.

Noticed they have posted yet again... and I got word that it's an 18G bond. No wonder they always seem to be looking. As Bob Barker used to say "THAT'S TOO MUCH"
Re: First Officer C208 (Sunwest Aviation Ltd - call backs?
20 g and the pay is horrible.

Hey wannafly so bad, its actually a 10k bond and it pays about 45k yr. plus you go down to flight safety and actually learn something useful. Money well spent I think.

Considering what Thunder Air recently advertised for, Sunwest pays terribly, on top of that 45000 in Vancouver is nothing.
Sunwest is bleeding pilots because of the poor pay, they haven't adjusted to the new normal and still have the impression that they're the most sought after operator. Not even close.

Re: First Officer C208 (Sunwest Aviation Ltd - call backs?
so what did THUNDER AIR!!! offer there caravan drivers?
Re: First Officer C208 (Sunwest Aviation Ltd - call backs?
75k for a carvan? Wow.. I honestly find that really hard to believe. But if thats the truth.. Awesome!
From what I've seen of sunwest it's a pretty well run ship with some gorgeous machines and some pretty happy pilots. (I happen to know quite a few of em now) Pay is on it's way up as it is everywhere else.
Why are you slagging? It's not like they're paying their metro FO's mcdonalds wages like some..

Missinipi pays 55K for a Van and one in Northern BC pays about the same as thunder 75K.
But if we are talking about an F/O position on a van and you don't have time jump at this, you will learn the game and will get to move up to some pretty nice machines at a company like Sunwest. Im sure they have a program to move you into the left seat after so time in the right.
