If i went to saudi arabia i would not think that i could follow my old laws from canada. which is what this guy is doing. The law in Canada is you have to wear a helmet, no ifs ands or buts. If i don't wear a helmet in canada i expect to be fined. If i stole something in the middle east I would expect the normal punishment. You follow a countries laws.
So you don't think anyone should be allowed to question the validity of a law? Or just Sikhs? Or is it just people who aren't white?

For the record, I think it would be idiotic to ride without a helmet, but I don't see why a person shouldn't be allowed to challenge a law if they don't see it to be fair, or if it's just not appropriate.

Wikipedia indicates that there are 278k Sikhs in Canada, so divide that by two to get 139k people who wouldn't be wearing a helmet - assuming every single Sikh male was riding a motor cycle. WHO THE @#$! CARES!? You poor WASPs... you're so underrepresented, and you're all gonna be wiped out by the minorities!! SAVE US!

If successful, Canadian Sikhs might have a more difficult time purchasing affordable motorcycle insurance.
Is that another HRC complaint I see in the distance?

wow, when did I ever say i was white? Back on topic anyways. This man is not saying he did not know the law, he is saying he knew it, broke it intentionally, and doesn't think its fair he get a penalty for it. Plain and simple. As someone said before in this thread there are special turbans for them to wear while wearing a helmet. Its his choice to not wear a helmet, just like it is all our choice. Its also up to him to pay up when he gets caught, just like anyone else.

Well concidering the fact that BC and MB allready says Sikhs can go sans helmet, it seems that parts of OUR country that THEY came to is ok with it.
