If you had the money
My partner and I were sitting at the station talking about what we would buy for a single engine 4 person aircraft on floats(for him, not me, I like ground under me) if we had some extra cash. I know that that topic has been on here before but I can't find it. What would you guys buy?

My dream s/e 4place personal floatplane has always been the following.
A C-170 B (big flaps) with the horton stol kit, and the rare 210hp IO 360 conversion (incl constant spd prop) on EDO's.
This gives you an upgross to 2500lb, a climb rate of 1000fpm with two people and 3/4 gas and some junk for a week-end, and only burns 10gph. Lightly loaded, on wheels, she'll be airborne in 350'.
Basically, 180/85 performance, at just a little more than 172 cost.
There is an aircraft that is equipped as described at Courtenay Airpark, and to top it all off, it has the best paintjob I have ever seen on an aircraft - A pack of wolves chasing down a deer, done by a very skilled local artist, and the owner's sister in-law.
If only I were rich...........
