Thanks to the Westjet crew going into YLW on the 5th with the unsolicited PIREP. It was both accurate and appreciated.

If you spoke to some pilots at VistaJet, I think you'd hear some interesting stories about pilot professionalism...

Let's not throw stones in glass houses....

You might just want to read the rest of the thread and specifically my posts. Good luck…

...and it wasn't the VistaJet pilots who showed a lack of professionalism either......

I dont see the big deal myself. It was only a joke and if Air Canada had any personality they would joke once in a while. As a passanger I find it funny and lightens things up.

As much as we like to bitch and complain, those remarks made over the PA in my opinion, belong in the flight deck. Very disappointing...

...Seems they are going to remove the axe and the control column from the cockpits for security reasons.

Westjet is viewed as a very different experience by the passengers, or "guests" as they are called. For the person who travels once or twice a year, sure, have a laugh or 3. Rip it up, they are going to leave there happy.

For the business guy who travels once or twice a week, not so much. They do not want to be bothered. As annoying as the announcements at AC are in two languages, I can't stand the silly jokes on WS in one language.

Westjet is toning it down for a reason - increased frequent travellers.
