Re: Phone interview
They let you know via e-mail, letting you know that you have been selected for a phone interview. From there you reply back saying accepting the phone interview or saying you are not interested in the job anymore. From there they send you an e-mail with some dates and times to pick from (they say to allow :45 min for the interview). You pick a date they confirm one more time that the date and time will work. At excactly the time and date that was confirmed you will get a call from the girls at the hiring centre at Air Canada and they ask you typical HR and experience questions and tell you about the process if hired, wages, etc and answer any questions you have (very relaxed). They also tell you that they will get back to you within two weeks from the interview with an answer, either by e-mail if accepted and move on to the panel interview and by letter if a PFO!

Re: Phone interview
can anyone comment on how long you waited prior to getting an email after applying online?
Re: Phone interview
I have what I have been told is competitive flight times/experience but haven't heard a thing. Application has been in since the new year.
I believe they are slowing down the hiring this year quite a bit.
I had heard of people getting contacted within a month for interviews if they were competitive
Your mileage may vary.....

Re: Phone interview
For those who are anxiously awaiting news, here is some intel.
2 March courses
1 April course
Mostly Embraer, but a few 767 RP spots.
Then they are taking a break for the summer. Expect training courses to start again in the fall.
Good luck.

Re: Phone interview
You're Welcome.
I'm pretty confident all positions are for Toronto base. You can bid for a different base on the next equipment bid after you start... if there are positions available and your seniority can hold it.

Re: Phone interview
Could someone tell me if one receives the "competitive candidate" letter, is there a specific action it requests or does it simply say to wait to hear from them?
