There's been a lot of negative comments about various operators in Canada, so I'd like to spin that around with a simple question. (c'mon everyone can contribute here)

What is the best company you ever worked for?

Harbour Air YVR .. Great company, great equipment, good crew, well managed. I should never have left. Cheers

Best company I've ever worked for in Canada?

Riverside Forest Products.
Swept floors in a plywood mill. $20 an hour, time and a half on Sundays, double time on holidays. Absolutely NO responsibility.

Flying can't compare.

Snowbird Aviation circa 1988. Small Navajo operation out of Stony Rapids SK. Fred Strukoff was the owner/OPs Manager/Chief Pilot. Treated us like gold and always had a smile and a cheery dosposition. We worked hard but he paid us well and looked after us.

Wow, that is a tough one as I have worked for many good operations.

But for safety I would have to say Facteau in Quebec , and that was many moons ago, 1966 I think.

WestJet.....the profit sharing is awesome.....especially these days their shares are sky high.... I LOVE IT?? My cash registers bursting full.

Jeez, that's a tough one.

-- The one that offered the most stability had junky airplanes and a burn-out schedule.
-- The one that had the most professional operations and complete benefits had poor stability and poor pay.
-- The one that had excellent pay had was ocasionally lacking in the operations expertise and benefits.

Just curious flyboeing-- these days what is the expected time to the Captain's seat for a new hire at WestJet? About a year or two ago it was in less than 2 years.

I had a great job in a travelling group of professionals but it turned out the bearded lady wasnt nice and the clowns were always drunk and mean. Wasn't much of a stretch for me to feel at home in aviation.

Ya right HAHA, I worked at HA also.

I agree the equipment is good and the crew was great, but the managment was a joke.
