Central Mountain Air -Question Charters

Post by Brushy Ridge »

Can anybody tell me about Central Mountain Air? Last week someone not in aviation told me they have a seperate charter company in Calgary. Is this true? Does anyone know anything about this? Are they hiring? Are they busy? Where are they located etc? What are they like? Any contact names would be helpful. Thank you.

Sorry my friend. CMA does indeed have a charter company in Calgary, but they use CMA airplanes and crew (perhaps occasionally from NTA as well). Here's the address if you still want to visit.

Central Mountain Air Ltd.
Suite 101, 1312 Aviation Park NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 7E2
Please call: 1-866-731-7992. • Phone: 403-731-7992

CMA is no longer in that building. unsure if a YYC base still exists.

Charters are rarely flown using CMA planes, usually NTair operates them...unless it's a Dornier Charter.

They do have a Calgary charter base. It is however limited in the amount of aircraft they use. If I remember correctly they usually have a single B1900D in additon to the occasional Dornier when it isn't doing a scheduled flight.

The office is located at the North end of the Field Aviation hangar.

Thanks Go Guns- I drove by there today. It was hard to find. The signs say CMA & Suncor but the doors were locked. Are they connected with Suncor?

If you want to work at CMA, you will need to be hired by CMA...in Smithers. Going to the charter office won't get you anywhere.

Yes. Shortages on all bases, including YYC.
