My is YBW a Circuis These Days!
Just did a 1.4 flight today, know what our airtime was? 0.3, thats right, it was 1.0 sitting at the hold short line before we got in the air! Granted we where heading for the circuit and it was crazy busy. There must have been 20 arrivals before we managed to get airborne. Course when we did we got circuits that where not really helping the student they where so misshapen. I do admit however that the people in tower there do an amazing job, but even they where getting a bit frazzled today. Got bitched at for going too slow on final, though we where at normal approach speed and never asked to go faster. At that point we where told to pull up and go around, even though the plane behind us was on a low approach followed by the missed procedure. My student on the over shoot pull off to one side of the runway like I had thought him, perhaps not the best choice on side of runway, but none the less. The twin behind us then goes to the same side. I can't help but think that the entire bad situation could have been avoided if we had carried out our touch and go, had the twin execute the missed early and go over us. Anyhow alls well that ends well suppose, and really the controllers do a great job 99% of the time.
Cheers,

Ha Busted, Now I know where your from
First Question is were you on board? I doubt it because not quite what I saw, and that was from the "Twin" behind them.
1st I wasn't in a twin
2nd the student in question was doing 65kts on a 2 mile file so slow the tower asked if they had full flap out
3rd the tower did ask them to speed up at which point they accelerated to a unbelevable 70 kts
4th when the tower told them to overshoot they stayed on the approach for another 30-45 seconds before the tower told them a second time to overshoot
5th they didn't listen to the instructions to us, which was to pull to the east side
6th your student continued to go to the east even after I refused the overshoot because they were in the way
7th mostly because I'm already bored with this, Circuits is last on the priority list so if you are for a T&G you will be given the overshoot, not the first time I've seen this and won't be the last
I do give props to the tower staff they put up with a lot
Cheers

Your right it was a piper arrow now that I think about it.
2nd the student in question was doing 65kts on a 2 mile file so slow the tower asked if they had full flap out
Nope it was 70kts, which is normal approach speed for our type.
3rd the tower did ask them to speed up at which point they accelerated to a unbelevable 70 kts
80 Actually
4th when the tower told them to overshoot they stayed on the approach for another 30-45 seconds before the tower told them a second time to overshoot
He is a slow methodical student it was about 8 seconds from command to power application
5th they didn't listen to the instructions to us, which was to pull to the east side
Must of missed that one in the radio chatter.
6th your student continued to go to the east even after I refused the overshoot because they were in the way
That one was my fault coaching him.

How about not having a conflict is the first priority, I have no problem with the over shoot, just don't enjoy unucessary conflict.

How can advancing the throttle and carb heat, + retract the flaps take 8 seconds from instruction? -simply unacceptable...would you trust this guy to fly your children?
Anyway to add, YBW is a VFR aerodrome, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SEPERATION FROM OTHER VFR TRAFFIC!!!
Pilots (eh hem super dooper instructors) need to learn (especially at YBW) how to fly a pattern..
And the ATC needs to relax a bit! they try to control everything! I heard the tower yell at a plane to "go" when doing a stop and go.

Why are you quoting what we just read and not putting comments? Perhaps they were edited or deleted but whatever you are trying to do is not working.

I carry my crucifix
Under my deathlist
Forward my mail to me in hell
Liars and the martyrs

Since 200 and I discussed this in chat last night, I took the liberty of highlighting his response which is hidden in the quote.

What a bunch of whiners at YBW these days...
I tought there 11 years ago and I usually was alone in the circuit.... We did have "F*CK OFF!" written onto the farmers field in 50 foot high letters as a subtle message to the pilots - I guess that farmer must have killed himself by now with all the buzzing going these days....

The plane was a grumman cheetah - 80kts on final with the canopy open!! Those were the days....
