It used to be 2 years at Tindi, but times have changed. The next round of checkouts should have a bunch of guys who have been here for barely a year, might even find some with less. Its as good a time as ever to sign up. Who knows when the carousel might stop, and you can always keep looking once you get hired on, but at least you have a number while you are waiting. Ohhh, Tindi is hiring right now if you are serious about it.....stop by the float base.

Tindi was a good place to work...If I were moving to YZF, I'd seriously consider Summit as well. Seems like a good bunch of guys and they do some pretty cool flying on nice machines. When the industry is moving the way it is, it doesn't look like anywhere will have a long wait on the ramp! Good luck!

The earliest I know of someone getting online is a year and a half. Good company, long wait though.

What I think most people don't realize is that the current movement in the industry is HURTING, not helping movement from the ramp (at least at places where entry level flying position is right seat). The movement in the industry has led to shortage of experienced pilots, not first officers or low timers. Most companies are desperate to either get direct entry captains or FO's that can be upgraded ASAP. A 250 hour FO does nothing for the company, so companies are only checking out the bare minimum of low timers to keep the other indentured slaves around. This is what I have observed in the last little while. Feel free to correct me if you have observed otherwise, and state where.

By God I think he's got it!

Although, I can almost touch that carrot with my tongue now... until they make the stick thats holding it a little longer.

Christ. When are the flight attendants and warm beaches coming?

I don't know about other places, but Tindi is a good place to be right now. The wait to fly is dropping considerably. Upgrades are coming pretty fast. They don't hire experienced F/O's, all are promoted from within the company, yes even the 250 hr guys. Like the grasshopper said, Summit is a good place to be as well. Despite what Hoov said, there will be some guys getting checked out who have been here for about a year. He is a little out of the loop, and is gay! Hoov, get back here, we need some entertainment, and your number should be popping up soon!

Air Tindi is a good company to work for and yes, they are currently hiring. 5 ramp guys have recently been told they're moving up to f/o, one of them has been here barely a year.

I've heard good things about Summit too, apparently the wait time is under 6 months.

If you do some research on here about Buffalo, you will find that most people don't like it. I know one person who just spent 3 years on the ramp there before quitting and trying elsewhere.

I think the term "soon" is all relative. 12 months is not soon, but I'm sure it will go by quick.

There will also be no "entertaining". I'm sober now. No more drinking. I havent had a drop in 5 days. I feel strong, and my mind is finally clear my friend. My mail order bride got here 5 days ago, and she is looking forward to meeting you all. She has expensive tastes but I think Yellowknife will do her good. Won't be able to afford to go out and will most probably have to look for a third job.

Ivanna wants me to get rid of the boat too :(. Even though her grandfather was strong like bull, he went out on the boat one day, and never came back. So if anyone wants a free boat just PM me.
