Signature vacations charter to Mexico Feb 2002: Skyservice written on the tail, you could still see the Canada 3000 logo thru one hastily applied layer of paint and all the commissary said roots air on it. The woman across from me said "how many airlines are we flying with today - I need a drink."

Not a round of applause, but an example of group think on a flight. A good buddy of mine was coming home from the sim. His flight landed very hard and the oxygen masks dropped down. People were scrambling to put on the masks as the plane was braking. He said he got disturbed looks from people as he sat there laughing.

There's a certain captain I fly with who just loves to put me in the spotlight and never misses an opportunity to tell the pax that I will be flying them on this leg and that they can applaude at the end of the flight if they liked the landing....and when the landing is followed by a loud silence he picks up the PA and says: "Now is the time to applaude"
I personally find it funny, we always try to put good humor in the passengers' briefings and somehow make their trip a little less boring and they usually respond very well to it. We fly a twin turbine with no cockpit door or curtain and I think it makes the all flying experience different than the big iron.

Born to fly, forced to work
