I remember seeing them in major airports for a long time (since the 80's). They are just normally hiden, out of the way, to keep them quiet I guess. Although most of them are now labelled as Interfaith Rooms or such. Travellers who feel they must go to church on Sunday morning, Muslims working at the airport who must pray 4 times per day, etc...
Do they charge to go there?
and if they do, how? by the minute houre day.....
what are the rules? can you start chanting aloud, dancing, shoes no shoes, sleeping, maximum alowed time...
I hope 2 fundamentalist from diferent religous hapen to be there at the same time.
Why do they have them?
What is the porpouse of it?
THIS is a can of worms, I think they could use the space better.
Don't know what they're for but they sure provided me with endless hours of entertainment!! AA guys would dare me to make announcements for the Chapel! Meaningful memories!

They've been in most airports since there have been terminals. Face it, to most people flying is only a necessary evil. TO quite a few, aircraft are downright scary. Particularly when haulling one's loved ones away. Or flying with SNJ
Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace. The soul that knows it not, knows no release from the little things; knows not the livid loneliness of fear, nor mountain heights where bitter joy can hear the sound of wings.
