Maybe we should also start a thread naming all the pilots who have been trained and PPC'ed and quit inside a couple of months forcing employers to put bonds in place......
Training bonds are different than paying up front.

Why not restrict it to:
Money up front
Non-prorated training bonds
Pay for training
Companies that try to coerce pilots into illegal situations or accept working conditions other than what was agreed upon at hiring, and then hold the "training bond" over their heads when they threaten to walk.

No doubt people leaving early have brought this on the industry. But there are some companies taking advantage of the situation. I mean come on....10K for in house metro training as mentioned above? At least it should be fair. Companies that require a bond, but on fair reasonable terms, are fine by me. but, i digress....not really the point of this thread, i suppose.pushyboss wrote:Maybe we should also start a thread naming all the pilots who have been trained and PPC'ed and quit inside a couple of months forcing employers to put bonds in place......

If you want to get really thorough, what about companies that make you pay for charts, uniforms, medicals, license fees, training approval fees, the list goes on.
