Missed pay cheques?
There's a rumour going around that JetsGo has missed a pay cheque for employees. Anyone want to set the record straight?

Semantics
When I said pay cheque, I didn't think I would be argued with our wording. Obviously they use direct dposit - who doesn't these days? I've heard from two separate sources that JetsGo missed a pay. Guess that's what $1 fares get you.
Hmmm... I have a fair number of friends at JetsGo and they claimed pay cheques have been on time. One of these sources is a friend I've known for 25 years and would never BS me. So... are you just kidding or what?pimper wrote:Yes..we are not getting paid, and when we do it is not as much as it's supposed to be. Your source is right on the money. I have not seen a pay cheque for several months now. I think I only get paid when we hire a new class and charge then all 30 grand!!
Yes I was doing the tongue and cheek thing! That rumor like many others have been circulating for months and months and are a complete load of crap. If we weren't paid I would be the first one bitching!! As for the MD FO's don't even tempt me. I think we as pilots are money generating sources for a company and as such once you are hired you should be given a date of service company wide. Captains are captains and FO's are captains waiting for a spot or captains in training. So I am a firm believer that we should have one list...if that is what you were getting at!!
Most airlines have the option to by-pass unsuitable upgrade candidates. Upgrading isn't a 'right' because your number comes up.whoa wrote:Pimper you sound like a smart man. The only problem I have with the one seniority list is that you should have to earn the Cpt's seat rather than be given it because it's your turn.
I don't know if Jetsgo has that policy. Perhaps Pimper or someone can clarify.

Certainly not. The Cpt list should be based on date of hire so when a F/O does goes Cpt, his/her senority would be more then say someone who went direct Cpt after they were hired. But in the event of a jump seat dispute the Cpt should have rank over the F/O. You have to keep some type of a ranking system in place to keep respect for the people who hold these positions. With holidays, Cpt's holidays are seperate then F/O holidays so there is no real clash there. If direct entry Cpt's aren't prepared for senority rights in companies like Jetsgo then they should'nt take the job.
I hear making you wear the lime green smilies on their ties and socks deters captains from working there...any truth to that? Or is the smilie on the front of the cap the issue?whoa wrote: If direct entry Cpt's aren't prepared for senority rights in companies like Jetsgo then they should'nt take the job.
What go's with lime green...royal purple?
