Ground school

Post by flyguy01 »

Just wondering what the dress code is while you are on course. Is it a shirt and tie thing or more casual? What are most people wearing? Thanks.

Business casual. No jeans, dress shirt but no tie is required although several people wore them.

I saw a couple, I did the first 2 days and than went without it for the rest of orientation and groundschool. Not really needed, just don't wear jeans.

Ok great. Thanks for the replies. I figured a shirt with no tie or a golf shirt would be fine. No jeans. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks.

Don't loose any sleep over what to wear. The instructors wear golf shirts and I've seen a few in jeans too.

Everybody is cool and nobody is going to say ''That guy is a better pilot because he's wearing a tie'' You are not judged by what you're wearing as long as it's appropriate.

What about open-neck trousers? Are they acceptable? Or too conservative.

Now there's something I hope never to see.
