People that touch instrument faces with greasy fingers as if they have just finished eating a bucket of chicken. In sunlight, it makes things damn tough to read sometimes.

People landing on the taxiway, instead of the runway.

I've actually had the privilege of seeing it happen right before my very eyes!

Hmm, let's see:

1. Getting into the A/C to find the cockpit full of trash
2. having the batteries die on the noise cancelling unit, 15 minutes into a 4 hour leg.
3. Fingerprints on the gauges
4. old weather printouts stuffed between the glareshield and the windshield.
5. Filthy windshields
6. Coworkers who talk too much
7. Coworkers who won't talk at all
8. Nasty old seat covers that haven't been washed in years and smell like ass-sweat
9. guys not following sop's
10. the number one, biggest pet peeve..............................

There is only one reason for these pathetic individuals acting that way and it is because they are insecure.

Avoid them like the plague when ever possible.

When forced to fly with them just resolve to never allow yourself to be like them.

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Cat
hit the nail right on the head with that last post about non sharing.
Captains who fly the entire day, feel they need to prove themselves when really, I'm almost embarrased for them. U want to show me your a true captain? How bout sitting there while your low time co-pilot(me) try's not to crash. I have alot of respect for captains who do this, also because I know that when I'm flying, they are confident enough to know when to help out or even take over. Thats a captain to me.

People that don't care about hygiene. Fly with one guy who doesn't shower or brush is teeth. Smells like a street person...
I tell ya trying to shoot an approach down to minimums while leaning into the air vent so you can actually breath fresh air!
Whatever happened to courtesy? This guy won't even chew gum if offered!
