Avionics training by correspondence?

Post by LinksInAChain »

Hi folks,

Does anyone know of an Avionics Tech programs that I can take via correspondence?

I'm not trying to change careers or anything, just curious as I know so little about the subject. Can't hurt, right? Right?

Found one online from Kilroy's college in Ireland, but wonder how relevent it would be here in Canada.

Input appreciated! 8)

Cheers,

Try calling the ICS people, they have an Aircraft Mechanics course maby they can suggest where to get it. I'm not aware of any distance education courses other than that.

ICS doesn't offer E training, and the Kilroy's is quite lame. I wouldn't waste your money.

link,

please don't waste your money on correspondence schools such as ICS. How they are accredited by TC is beyond me

The avionic's info you're seeking can probably be found in any number of books.....

http://www.avidaviator.com/aviation_boo ... ation.html

http://www.aerotraining.com/html_gif/1391.htm

http://www.actechbooks.com/products/act055/

or perhaps at useful websites such as.....

http://www.smartcockpit.com/

good luck with your endeavors
