Edited to give credit where it is due: A well known exception to the above is the Hamilton General Aviation and Licensing office. The people there give really good service and the office has a good reputation across Canada. The fact that this one office can get it right makes the incompetence, deliberate obstruction and uncaring attitude of the rest of TC, particularly at the directorate and ministerial level, even less acceptable.

Let them know you have no problem with being dishonest and to really get high marks confide in them you have been labeled as a sociopath by several doctors who specialize in that line of medicine.

You will then be put right into management.

I'm not taking TC's side by any stretch of the imagination but at best the question was about hints for an INTERVIEW. I wouldn't want to work there, but this person does. Enough so, to try and get some tips for the position. It does this person absolutely no good to:

Though this site caters primarily to pilots, there are also mechanics, ground personnel... and yes.. even those who want to work for transport!... I just feel that there are certain topics that are pretty much not worth exploring because of the avcan mob.

After 55 years in this industry including working with TC it is hardly ironic that I understand how the system works.

Have to disagree. I met face to face with total incompetence at the Hamilton office. Great people at the front desk, had a very bad experience with one inspector there. Not unfairness or malevolence, just incompetence and unwillingness to serve the aviation businesses that depended on these people to facilitate operations.

Other than this individual though, I have had great experiences with that office.

And therein lies the reason that TCCA is reviled by the industry, they protect the incompetent and the sociopaths in their employ...in industry they would be out on their asses.

Hey Wacko - the original poster has been a member for 2 years now and has posted a total of 27 times. That just might indicate that he is basically a lurker. Either that or he rarely comes on here.

If he's a lurker he knows full well the overall response he was going to get when he posted and is simply trolling away (did the hook hurt?)

If I'm wrong about that (and I really doubt I am) and he simply doesn't come on here often, then he would have no real sense of the validity of this particular forum and he would be a fool to take any comments as true advice anyway. It's difficult enough to separate the wheat from the chaff on an anonymous forum when you do browse frequently.
