Alta Flights

Post by seiger »

I seen the job posting on this site and wondering if they take guys from the ramp and put them in an airplane?

I'm also interested in the ramp position. I've got about 600 hours which is a lot lower than their requirements for direct-hire, but I'm wondering how often they move from within.

How are they to work for? pay? etc...

I am also very interested in the alta flights position. From what I've heard, they aren't that good about hiring guys off the ramp, but I would like to hear what some others have to say.

If your thinking of Alta Flights do some research. Not as good as it sounds.

On pilotinterviews.com, it says that Alta laid off 8 pilots in April 2004.

Some reading for you:

There are 2 kinds of employers in the world. Good ones and baaaaaad ones. Good ones are hard to get on with, and you don't move up quickly cause nobody leaves. Baaaaad ones are easier to get on with, suck to work for, but everybody who can leave will, so you move up faster. You decide which Alta is.
