Presuming you were serious... are you kidding?

How would you form that complaint:

"Dear Minister for Labour, Transport & hell, Justice;

I would like to complain about Wingwobble Air Ltd, because, they demand a bond, pay less than industry standard, and are slow bringing people home from rotations...

Please shut them down because they are inherently evil.

Yours,
Pilots everwhere."

Yeah, that oughtta work.

If its a bond, rotation and less pay is all you have to complain about and nothing serious with regards to Safety, breaking human rights laws, commiting a indictable offence, then there's nothing to complain about. As I said all you "regular" VAL bashers whom throw B/S around on how bad VAL is and making it sound like they are commiting crimes left right and centre should report the law breaking offence (which there isnt to begin with) or get your shit straight and get out of aviation all together if your afraid of work.
It's people like you that I see beleiving that every company in the world owe's you a favour because you can fly an airplane. It's also people like you that go to a company and spend 4 days in Ground School after giving your comittment to employment, then f'ing off when another reputable company calls whilist leaving the prior company in a lurch after having spent thousands on you in employment training. Its no wonder more companies are turning to bonds. It's people like you who make the historical changes in the industry and then try to lay blame on the company!
It seems to me that no one has heard about any kind of professional respect to there employers cause you decided to leave after working for a month to be closer to home!

Nuff said.

At the end of the day we live in a market economy. If there are guys who are willing to go there that's their business. It's no secret CMA or Voyageur etc are a stepping stone to bigger aircraft... some are lucky to get there with less effort than others.

The fact that they keep posting job offers suggest that the market economy is working!

On a flip side... I wonder how many savvy pilots are using the company to legitimize buying their PPC! With the majority of the members here (and pilots out there) shitting bricks the moment someone says they want to buy a PPC Voyageur might have a potential for a new business model :D

Look around... how many smaller companies aren't looking for people. The only question is are they maying a horizontal or lateral move.

I'm not defending the company... but that's an unfair statement in this market.

For Doc, xsbank, and tsgas and any other slammers:
Thanks after dark, I don't know who you are but I couldn't agree more. I have been here 2 years and I came with over 10000hrs and jet time to fly the CRJ. I have made more money flown top grade equipment maintained by excellent engineers. I have had a great time overseas with fantastic crews to work with.
It isn't AC or WJ but it doesn't pretend.
Overseas flying isn't for everyone but for some of us its a dream come true and a great experience.

Are you familiar with Stockholm Syndrome? It is a psychological condition where hostages start sympathizing with their captors. I strongly suspect that your poor husband might be suffering with said condition. For both your sakes please seek immediate help before he turns down the likes of AC or WJ.

newpilotwife...google "cognitive dissonance" Or, how I convinced myself I made the right decision. But, I'm starting to second guess myself. But I really can't admit it. Or, I'm really glad I bought the brown purse, rather than the black one. It goes so well with my black shoes....but, now, I'm thinking, just maybe, I should have bought the black one....

After Dark wrote:Looks like KBA, Westjet, AC and every other airline is hiring. Why do you find it so surprising that VAL would be hiring?

There are more and new contracts coming every month. So I guess they should stop hiring?

Get off it, go and get a life!
So how much are King Air Captains at KBA making? 70ish 2weeks on 2 off Rotations. And how much money do you have to obtain from the bank for a job at KBA WJ AC?????

But your saying the reason for these job ads every month are because of steady growth and New contracts? Please inform us of the going on at VAL at this rate they must have about 500 Aircraft and 3000 pilots. Or perhaps it has something to do with paying 42K a year for a king Air Captain and making them fork over a 15K to make that.

You need to do more research and learn not to flap your lips at things you know nothing about.

Get a life you obviously need one................

Last time I checked, AC, JAZZ and WJ had an advert. every few months too, what's the diff? NOTHING! Its called a hiring pool! Porter wants $15k on a two year bond. Better add them to your bashing list!

Really you have to put up 15K to get a job at Porter, thats pretty shiite then. I thought it was just a promisary note that if you facked off in 2 years you would owe the remainder of the bond. As for my bashing list its more of the no spin zone, to call out companies on Bullshit such as this. So how many other industries get you to fork over money, are you seen as an expense or an asset at your company.

So how deep is the hiring pool at Voyaguer?
