Re: Flight Dispatcher
hi
I'm not dipatch but operation coordinator & maybe my informations will give an insight about what it is like
shift is 10 hour, beginning at 4am or at 2pm
full time is 4days a week, part time depending on needs and hours available
very busy position and I can say it's the same for DXP specially during winter storm
pay? I don't know as it changes from a province to another they started me at 13/hr, some others started at 11, I don't know why.
if you're a pilot (I don't know how many hours you have) it's a good gig as you allready have a foot in the door, and you'll know their ops, pros and cons about working for azz, etc etc...
you'll have to relocate to YHZ unless you allready live there.
it's worth a try as they're used to see people coming & leaving quiet often, so if you don't like it, just go, they'll have forgotten you in a sec
cheers

Re: Flight Dispatcher
That is now exactly true. Dental, Medical, passes on Jazz and AirCanada plus z fares on a lot of other airlines. Pay, it sucks, but apparently its one of the best jobs in Atlantic Canada! 18 to 30 per hour. Four on Four off, 2 to 5 weeks vacation increasing over a ten year period, Stat and time bank, sick days, union environment with a management outlook. It is a friendly environment, eat at your desk, average 4 to 5 releases per hour. Its not a bad gig really, and compared to a pilot, you are home every night.
Cheers
