Don't know much about the company, but the guy listed as the contact would be cool to work with.
Re: WALMART
Does the pilot uniform consist of a blue vest & a yellow smiley flare with wings on it?
Asking a pilot about what he thinks of Transport Canada, is like asking a fire hydrant what does he think about dogs.

Re: WALMART
Is the pilot eligible to be awarded as employee of the month?

Re: WALMART
If hired as a pilot there, just keep an eye out for falling prices.
Re: WALMART
I wounder if the daily employee team building chant is part of the check list
Never point your aircraft to some place your brain hasn't already been 5 minutes earlier.
Re: WALMART
funny part is they probably pay better than anyone out there and give you everything they say they will when you sign....
Re: WALMART
probably. I would imagine that why they treat their retail staff like crap, the corporate side of things would be pretty niceCAL wrote:funny part is they probably pay better than anyone out there and give you everything they say they will when you sign....

Based on rumour, speculation, and 17th hand information:
-CYYZ based (north end)
-2 Lear 35's (maybe 45's someday?)
-around $85,000 per year plus the Walmart employee discount
-hired as a pilot; considered middle management so if you lose your licence/medical, you get an office job until retirement
-lots of flying across Canada and down to Arkansas

they have 45's on US side, so I would think eventually they'll make their way north.Pratt X 3 wrote:Based on rumour, speculation, and 17th hand information:

Re: WALMART
Schedule looks like 2 weeks on, one week reserve and one week off. Generally no flying on weekends or Holidays.

Re: WALMART
When I was a new instructor a very shiny and very pink
Lear 35 rolled up and parked on the ramp next to the flying club where I worked . Soon the two pilots appeared..dressed in grey sacks and pink shirts with silver bars. Yes it was the Mary Kay corporate airplane. Us young bucks were laughing up a storm, riffing bad jokes off of one another. The exasperated dispatcher (female) couldn't take it any longer and said, "Admit it guys, you would wear pink in a New York minute, if it meant you could be hired to fly that airplane". There was an uncomfortable silence and then we all left with our tails between our legs

I don't think I want to know how you found out their "sacks" were gray!?!?Big Pistons Forever wrote:pilots appeared..dressed in grey sacks and pink shirts with silver bars. Y

Damm I hate typo's
slacks and sacks are so close
I guess flying airplanes and posting have one thing in common...you should check your work before doing something....like hitting the send button

You can't say or write "slacks" either - its illegal under Guy Rule #247

Re: WALMART
Called them today, and was informed that they hired a pilot last Friday. Oh well, back to the drawing board, would have been a nice gig.
