Cops respond to an altercation in a parking lot, tell the guy what they want him to do, and warn him what the consequences will be if he doesn't stop "struggling" (fighting, resisting). Instead of following a completely reasonable instruction (don't continue fighting), he opts to give the cops orders. So he gets tasered, exactly as they warned him he would, and he cries about it afterward. Did he think they were joking, auditioning for Punchlines or the comedy channel? Is he mentally retarded? Why tasered multiple times? Perhaps he continued to be combative and unwilling to follow simple directions to stop resisting? Once again, another example of a faulty thinking law breaker having every opportunity to not get his ass tasered. 1. Don't fight with people in parking lots. 2. Follow simple instructions from police if you have been caught fighting. 3. Believe the police when they tell you what the consequences of non-compliance will be.
Personally, I've always found that even when caught doing something stupid, following police instructions has been 100% effective in preventing my ass being kicked, arrested, or tasered by those police.

Fanaticism, with even the most noble of causes, is detrimental to your argument. Just because you talk louder and louder each time doesn't necessarily mean people will "hear" you.

I suggest cpl, the newspaper account does infer he continued fighting. Presumably, if his behaviour had changed it would say so, but it doesn't. The account suggests he continued doing what he was doing while telling the cops what they can do. Do you really think someone cooperating with a police demand to stop fighting would respond with the statement, "don't even think about it?" I think anyone with an IQ greater than a turnip wanting to convey their cooperation would say something to the effect of, "OK," or "I give up," or "yes officer," etc. If you engage someone with violence the cops are not going to give you multiple warnings before taking action because every second that goes by increases the risk of someone being seriously injured or killed. The safest thing they can do is gain control as quickly as possible and then after the fact sort out what's going on, whose at fault, etc.
