Light Twin goes down south east of YRL

Post by Flybaby »

The plane is sitting in a ditch near one of the gold mine settling pools. Mostly secondhand information but everybody's alright except the plane, light, white, low tail twin ran out of gas, put her down on a road and went into ditch. Looked like a Piper product, but couldn't be sure.

It was an American registered Grumin Cougar that went down just north of the Mine tailings pond, east of the runway. They ran out of fuel and were going for the road and whether they made it I don't know but the aircraft came to rest in the ditch and is heavily damaged. Luckily they walked away and were soon flown to their intended fishing outpost by a local float operator!

Moral of the story being that the fishing up here is really that good!
