"It will take only 13 years to add a billion people."
"By comparison, the number of people didn't reach 1 billion until 1800, said Carl Haub, a demographer at the Population Reference Bureau. It didn't reach 2 billion until 130 years later. "
The world population sure is growing fast.

it's not here in the developed world, it's in the developing world that has this growth problem. We won't see applications to have kids until the entire is developed, which won't be in our lifetime.

Yeah... Canada is actually not producing enough kids... I wonder at what point the whole Asian continent will fall victim to people dieing of starvation and overcrowding.

Sure, but the average developed world person uses ~ 5x the resources of the developing world person...so who has the overconsumption problem? Ever see a fat Bangladeshi? or Afghan? Thought not - but walk down any street in the developed world and its fatties all over the place...it's not here in the developed world, it's in the developing world that has this growth problem. We won't see applications to have kids until the entire is developed, which won't be in our lifetime.
Say, what's that mountain goat doing up here in the mist?

Also, who says that they will fall victim to either starvation of overcrowding? it was only 70 years ago that we had to kill 40 million people over 'Lebensraum.' If we go down that road again, it could be a whole bunch more..Yeah... Canada is actually not producing enough kids... I wonder at what point the whole Asian continent will fall victim to people dieing of starvation and overcrowding.

According to ctv, the teenage birth rate is higher in the US than in India. So, not only are they fat, use more power, they have too many babies, amongst other problems. lets just be-gone with the US already will we?KAG wrote:it's not here in the developed world, it's in the developing world that has this growth problem.
