"Hire me forum"
Im just wondering, do employers actually search this forum? Im curious because Im thinking of posting my resume in the near future. Is it worth it? Companies these days usually have stacks of resumes on file.

Depends on the skill set that the pilot is offering, I suppose.
Of the 800+ views on my post, only 2 offers were received.

Keeping files would not be efficient for a company nowadays. There is some places still keeping a file but how will they keep them organized? An organized inventory, using database software, will keep your priority ones more efficiently.
I think a company throws out your resume the first time you turn them down. Its good for them to get alot of applications. The problem is applicants don't know how many applications a company got, so do you stick around waiting for the job if you are being considered for future opportunities?
