I agree with everything but the "real" part. The CFL is a truly patriotic league and to not have a team in Ottawa is a shame.

Dust Devil, I'm pro NFL, for sure. But I'm NOT anti CFL. Different games. The CFL could use a little more polish in the presentation, mostly from the networks though. Besides, the NFL has a couple more months to get their players out of prison before the season starts.

I don't think you'll ever see it. At least I hope not. The Argos would become a thing of the past, and it would do irreparable damage to the CFL. We don't really NEED an NFL team in Canada. What we could really use, is a CFL team in our nation's capital? I'd rather see Hamilton get an NHL team, than Toronto get an NFL team. Half the players on any given NFL team are convicted felons....how would you get them through customs for Toronto games? A can of worms, better left south of the border. Methinks.

Ottawa could use a name change. Rough Riders? Two teams with the same name out of, what? Eight teams....guess that's only seven? The Green Riders should keep all rights to the name, IMHO, at least they care enough to play the game! Perhaps they (Ottawa) can come up with another fag name(I'm gonna take a hit for that) like the Senators? Like, maybe, the Commons? As in House of... Or, maybe something really original....that'd be nice.

I think the NFL would destroy the league in the East. Hamilton is already in enough trouble they don't need anymore pressure. I think Montreal would be out as well just because it would be the only team left out east and we would be left with a Western CFL only. The teams out here are strong enough to go on their own and the game would still be here. But it would lose a lot of the magic. It would also kill any dream of having a team in Halifax.

But who knows the CFL might break up before that anyway when Dion brings in the Green Shaft and the West separates on it's own anyway.

Halifax in the CFL? I like it. The "Schooners"? Or, the "Blue Nosers"? Something with a maritime sound at least. Nah, they'd get sued by a beer company for Schooners....and the "Blue" would no doubt, turn to "Brown" in the press. How about "Lobster Slayers"?
