Re: CAT 1 MEDICAL BP
I can't even remember the last time the doc checked my BP at a medical...

Re: CAT 1 MEDICAL BP
I'm NOT a doctor... just know a few... but:
The CARs Medical Standards say your blood pressure must be within "normal" range.
Generally speaking, Systolic (top number) should be less than 140, and Diastolic should be less than 90.
Here's a pretty little chart that shows you what is too low (and a bunch of other stuff):

Re: CAT 1 MEDICAL BP
On my last medical the Doc had to take my blood pressure twice for the first time.
We've had a fair bit of family stress, and I haven't been living as healthy chasing young kids around. Anyway, I've been running 5 K every other day; it only take 25-30 minutes. Using the machine at the drug store I'm right at 120/75 every time and within three weeks of taking up the running again. Its a fast fix for BP because it lowers cortisol very fast from the adrenal gland (even fast walking will do it... just don't go over 45 minutes or you can increase cortisol from adrenaline elevating.)
When the Doc re-checked it after I had been lying down when the ECG finished and just said... 'You've never had anytime that we've had to do that twice'. A strong enough hint from the same aviation Doc since I was 17 years old. Just shows that age, stress, diet is important to manage in this game.
If you are in the normal range of that chart, you should be fine. If not... delay your medical to the end of the month and hit the gym.

Re: CAT 1 MEDICAL BP
I had the BP talk during my last Cat1. I have something the military likes to call "White Coat Syndrome" simply put my BP elevates when it's taken. I can actually feel the effects as it's happening but I can't seem to relax.
Anyway, I had a good chat with the doc about high BP and what it means for the professional pilot. Fortunately it's not much of a deal-breaker. Even the drugs used to control high BP are acceptable to TC.
It's a good talk to have during a medical and best to do before it becomes a problem.
Cheers,
Grant

Here is a link regarding your BP question. It is the handbook for Aviation Medical examiners.
