Beaver crash around High Level ?

Any info on a beaver that crashed around High level this weekend ,just wondering if everyone was OK .

From the CADORS:

A float-equipped DHC-2 Beaver operated by Little Red River Forestry Ltd. was departing from Margaret Lake, AB (CFV6) when the engine quit. The pilot carried out a forced landing straight ahead into trees 0.5 NM east of CFV6 and the aircraft's wings were ripped off. The hull reportedly remained intact and there were no injuries to the four occupants. TSB has been in contact with the company and their report will follow.

I've been told first hand that everyone is ok but that the plane is pretty well a write-off. I've seen some pictures of the crash site that a coworker took while flying over and it looks like the pilot put her down in a small clearing just off the shore of the lake. From what I could see the plane looks pretty busted up, but thankfully nobody was hurt.

Is the TSB investigating this one? I would think Widow will be interested.

I think the TSB would be screwed either way (investigate or not)

If they dont investigate (ie class 5) then they'd likely just blame the pilot (again) and further demonstrate their ignorance (then we'd all wonder why the TSB even exists)

If they do investigate (which IMO they should) then its pretty much spitting in Widow's (and company) face saying an accident (engine failure) that left no fatalities is more important than an accident that did.

Everyone walked away. We heard TSB is investigating and wants the engine. The airplane is a write-off.
