Renting from Harv's Air

Post by dbeddoes »

I'm looking to rent something like a C172 for about 10 days at the end of August at or near Winterpeg. I'm looking at Harv's air but I can't find any rental rates. What do you guys know about this place? Do I want to trust their planes for a 2000 nm cross country? What kind of rate do you think would be fair for a C172 that I'm going to be putting probably 30 hours in just over a week on? Wet? Dry? Any help would be appreciated!

I noticed they have a DA40 with what looks like a G1000 glass cockpit, which is very tempting. Most of my time is in a DA20-A1. Worth the extra money?

Being that the rumour is they got shut down by TC today, I wouldn't recommend renting anything from them!

Interesting.

I guess the C172RG from Saskatoon will have to do! :P

I wouldn't count them out just yet, reading the thread above.

They should be open agian by now.

I've never had a problem with their aircraft or heard someone thats has.
Pretty sure you could call them and ask them about the rates and every work something out with them... wet/dry. They may even give you a break if you put a certain amount on it in a period of time.
