Re: New Recruiting site
Hey, I need a new iPod...........can I apply again?
Re: New Recruiting site
I see the new site is up, but the "apply now" link leads nowhere. With the upcoming testing sessions in yyz yeg and yvr, I would like to start the process soon.
Anybody with any insight with the process, and as to when and where the next courses are scheduled, and if they are filled up with people from the shl hiring pool system?

Re: New Recruiting site
how do we now check our status if we went through with SHL? The old spot on the original site is gone.

Perhaps e-mail service@navcanada.ca and advise them the link doesn't work, and of your interest in attending?
As for the process, since it is brand new, I'm not sure anybody outside the head or regional offices know yet .
As for the old SHL applicants pool, and where you stand in the new process, again, all I can suggest is e-mail service@navcanada.ca with your questions.

Re: New Recruiting site
Sure! But I think I saw in the fine print somewhere, that if you fail the testing, you're fired and have to pay back all the money they paid you since you startedJerricho wrote:Hey, I need a new iPod...........can I apply again?

Re: New Recruiting site
The registration function will be available prior to the end of September. The message indicates that we will be accepting applicaitons in September, until such time, we invite you to browse the website for more information on the new process.
We anticipate the systeem being on-line by next week. Those that were previously with SHL and have completed the testing and interviews will be automatically entered into the new system. We will be sending emails directly to those individuals before we go live with the new application system. Those that have applied through SHL and have not completed the testing will be required to register under NAV CANADA's new applicaiton process. As testing was not completed, you will be required to undergo the new battery of tests and part of this is to complete 2 on-line tests as part of your application.
I hope this provides you with more information.

Re: New Recruiting site
Rumor has it there was a suggestion from a specialty that everyone throws in $50 and they all apply. The one who gets the furthest through the process wins the pot.
(Interview room)
"So, Mr Jones. What personal skills do you have that may be beneficial in an position as an Air Traffic Controller?"
"Well, as I'm an Air Traffic Controller........."

Re: New Recruiting site
I imagine their response would be something like... "I'm sorry Mr/Miss Applicant, but we don't feel you have the necessary attributes required to be an Air Traffic Controller. Instead we've chosen someone with strong typing skills and no personality to train for two years before we kick their ass out the door!"
