This is the last thing any airline needs...especially right about now.
The Reader's Digest version:
United lost over 75% of the value of their stock (~1.2 BILLION) all in part because a Florida newspaper erroneously posted a 2002 article of the airline's bankruptcy on their website. This was picked up by Google's news-aggregation service and subsequently fired the story over to Bloomberg - which e-mailed thousands of stockholders & traders. Talk about a bad day!
