Air Traffic Controller and Supervisor

Attained The "Retirement" Job:
I would say so

Past Job Description(s):
Just ATC

Self Description:

Not that I'm a rolling stone (although, it has been said I have a head a thick as one)........

I've been playing in the ATC game now 14 years. I started as an ATC Assistant (ATOS) in Brisbane ACC, moved to England where I got both my IFR and VFR licences. I worked for a bit in Belfast/Aldergrove, then moved into the IFR work and spent 6 glorious years working Heathrow Terminal. Winnipeg is now my place of residence, where I'm a supervisor for Winnipeg Terminal (I worked Saskatoon Terminal for a bit as well, but that's another story).

I'll gladly try to answer any ATC questions. As some who are interested probably know, Nav Canada are in the process of changing the application process. Understandably, there are heaps of questions about previous application status, current applications and alike, unfortunately many of us in Operations don't know any more than what's heard on the rumor mill. I know the answer of "Email Nav Canada to find out" kinda sucks, but as Lilfssister mentions in the ATC forum, the process is in it's infancy.

Of course, there is the ATC forum on AvCanada, where there is some good stuff already regarding Newbie type questions

Um... instructing :)

Other:
I volunteer as a Cadet ground school instructor and fly with a vintage aircraft organization in my spare time. I enjoy instructing and still do a little occasionally.
