Doc... are you are inhaling something funny again?
Maybe Joe is going to use the Basler Turbines, Africa has lots of them and they are perfect for African Bush flying, even a good piston pounder is hard to beat for the type of flying many parts of Africa has.
If they were operating the turbine 3 I'd consider going back ...for a price of course..

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

O.K.. So I've been sharing the same stuff Doc is breathing...
But maybe Joe is moving into turbines to supplement his piston pounders?

Yeh, Doc I know....but it is fun jerking each others chain over small things.
Seriously though, if Joe does get work in Africa and you get an offer to go drop everything you are doing and take it...Africa is the most facinating continent on earth, and so big and diverse it is beyond imagination....
Just be very careful and stick with the guys who know what not to do or go and make sure you have all the shots required..Malaria is the big worry due to drug resistant strains showing up....and of course is more prevelant in some areas than others....
Sheep are not the lover of choice either, camels are the in thing...
Do you know why camels are known as the ships of the desert?

The people who are posting bad s**t about Joe are usually untalented former employees who do not even understand how to knock a former boss. I have a lot of respect for Joe, so if he has a chance to do UN work all you spineless Fu****s should envy him for what he has done for his company Buffalo Airways.

Wasp, wholly dude, relax a little. Do you know how many great people have come and gone through buffalo's doors without "cutting it." Untalented and spineless are pretty harsh words for people that have decided that sticking it out at buffalo may not be worth the wait. But if he did score some contract work, then that's good news for the green guys!

I heard that Buffalo Airways was getting a Herc...seems like a good step...after all they are the same vintage...only less available than mass produced war machines...(very few commercial variants)...I know that they have three endorsed flight engineers and six endorsed AME's on type...funny why?
