Check the tag before dry cleaning, many years ago a friend sent his for dry cleaning at the end of the season and it came back ruined. He ckecked the tag after the fact and it stated "Do Not Dry Clean" they meant it.

It really should be washed with the appropriate soap and dried with a couple of tennis balls in the drum - dry cleaning will wreck it.
