So ..... it is a small world after all.
Nice meeting you ., fun exchanging barbs, and all is fair in love and war.

Reading their posts they sure seem the same. The use of multiple periods to pause sentences, references to MJ in Red Lake, pissed off at Cat (doesn't narrow it down much
) Except The Shadow seems a little more reserved compared to GH. That thread was a work of art, too bad it got shut down because it made for some entertaining reading.

Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?

AAhhh true he was not exactly in love with me, but he sure got a bad start with his comments in the thread about the Beech 18 on floats where several high time Beech 18 drivers figured the same as I did, he was out to lunch.
Anyhow there are a few guys who are in the fire bombing business on this forum so what do you think his chances are of them wanting him as an F.O. iflyforpie?

Forums bring out the worst in people . and though we've butted heads more times than I can remember I'd fly with you any day. But this guy (if they are the same character), I don't know.
Taking this forum thing a little too serious methinks.

Would really like to help you out but I am way too busy recounting my Beech 18 time from 30 years ago!

Re: Fire fighting or spray opperaters.
One thing about you couple of characters here, your easy to predict.
Clguy , chucky, you 2 clowns are like blood suckers on a whales dick.
I just read Shadows posts on the Beech and he is intitled to his opinion whether you agree or not is not really important. If the beech is so good where are they all? They made a million of them.
. you claim everyone is intitled to an opinion but because his didn't agree with yours you jumped all over him with your "mightyer than thow" attitude. You are they guy who belittles people and insults them.
Like I said you fail as a pilot, as a mentor and you certainly fail as a human being.
Clguy you better hope Chucky dosn't stop to quick, you might get shit on your nose.
And if you really want to get into it with me bring it on.

Re: Fire fighting or spray opperaters.
WOW, that didn't take long!! Green maybe you can answer a question for me, if you have been in aviation as long as you claim and have the experience you claim, at this stage in your career, why would you only be flying a Beaver for KAS? Especially when, as you claim guys with only 500 hours are getting on them these days?
If you can't answer it without a bunch a insulting drivel then I don't need an answer that badly. Just curious thats all!!

Re: Fire fighting or spray opperaters.
I have never flown for KAS. The comment with regards to the 500 tt time pilot was not a slurr on anyone. I said that 20 years ago you needed 2500 hours tt to get on a Beaver because there were all kinds of experienced Beaver / Otter / B 18 pilots around, meaning the opperators and insurance companies could be choosey as to who they put on a Beaver. Then I said because of the fact that high time float guys are either not available or their eggos ( in your case and Chucky's ) are to big to get in a Beaver the opperators and Insurance companies have to settle for low time gys.
The point was that because a low time guy is in demand and the opperators can't find anyone else they are between a rock and a hard place. With this in mind and for the first time in many years the pilots can demand MORE money. I said that if you want more wages, demand more and QUIT flying for free.
Now if you had bothered to read the post and understood what was being writeen instead of running off with the mouth you would have gotten the point.
I was just pointing out that because of the SHORTAGE of experienced float pilots they could demand more money. . thinks that wages are unimportant to a young guy as long as "he is living the dream". But Chucky won't get out of bed for less than 400 an hour. Is he that special?
As far as a 500 tt pilot working with a Beaver in an agressive bush opperation he will have his hands full.
And if you and Chucky disagree and you feel that a 500 tt time pilot has it all figured out then what have you learned in the last 10,000 hours.
And if the 500 tt wounder pilot is so accomplished why do they make up the majority of the incidents.
I could go on but I won't.
Now, as far as you thinking you know me then you should have one more thing figured out and if you know me you know what I mean.
With all that said all the 500 tt pilots don't need to get their shorts in a knot, at 500 hours you have just scratched the tip of the iceburg when it comes to aviation.. The career of flying is a "life long" learning experience. So relax and enjoy the trip.

CLguy, I hope the mods don't lock this thread because it is seldom we get this quality of entertainment on Avcanada.
For someone who took my comment about " Living the dream " as condoning low wages when anyone with an IQ over 40 would see it as sarcsam and meant as such and then accuses me of belittling and insulting people.
Then he rants this way:
By the way Green Hornet you got the ramp pig bit mixed up, I was not one but we did have a few hanging off our airplane one day in T-Bay.

. you are my HERO.
You have come a long way from sleeping in your car in T-Bay, but your still an ass hole.
Not a bad pilot .... just an asshole as a person.
Got it figured out yet .... dipshit.
Sooner or later someone will figure out who this gem really is and Karma shall rule.Chucky ... I was there flying with you .... and you did sleep in your car.
You were a ramp pig ....

Pigs on a PIG BOAT what a novel idea.By the way Green Hornet you got the ramp pig bit mixed up, I was not one but we did have a few hanging off our airplane one day in T-Bay.

Now show the photos once more please.

I'm sure the statue of limitations has expired on that little episode by now.

I never worried about any statue of limitations Driving Rain.
There were a couple of high lights that stand out in my memory of T-Bay, the best was I managed to demote R.K. from his lofty position in OMNR to a grunt back in the office in T-Bay.....then those decorations Andy and I found to make a PBY look better.
By the way did R.K ever crawl back up the ladder of incompetents?

Re: Fire fighting or spray opperaters.
You know . you amaze me. Anyone who reads the post on "wages" will see and understand what is written. You just don't have to forsight to admit you miss understood or didn't comprehend what was written, and again you resort to insults, and address your comments to your fellow ass kissers looking for support.
Now as far as your days with the Flying Firemen you were disliked by many of the guys there. Your mouth was and still is 4 gears ahead of your brain. You slept in your car, you were dirty and needed a bath most of the time.
Now if you can't play nice then go away.
You have stomped all over everyone here, you and a few others here who think they are special aviators. You can sit here and jerk each other off all day long, copy and paste sections of topics and all that crap and at the end of the day you have done nothing but get your face slammed, your eggo bruised and your feelings hurt. Now, how does it feel when someone else stomps all over you. As for the other couple of clowns they are just kiss ass followers and the rest speaks for itself.
For all you know you simpleton I am a dock hand, a passenger, an aviation enthusiast or maybe even a pilot who just got fed up with reading Avcanada and watching a few of you morons dominating an otherwise fun and valuable aviation resourse. I opened the lid and you fell in shit up to your nose. Everyone has the right to an opinion and if you can't handle it without becomeing a dominating prick then you should just fade away.
I know, you are a movie star and you have seen it all and done it all just a little better than everyone else, yes, yes I know, we all know now that you are a movie star.
I think you are just a guy who never got any recogniton for his skills unless he stood up in the bar and said " look at me, I am a pilot".
Now, it has been fun, it's getting way to personal so let it go and remember only THE HORNET knows.
It's never to late to change, even you could be human, well maybe.

Well yes and no. They did make him director of the Air Service which anyone could do and then they fired him right out of the the Gumitup.

Re: Fire fighting or spray opperaters.
Before you go Green Hornet can you explain to the troops how this could be true?
I was based in T-Bay quite often that is also true.
Here is the difficult part to understand...the bit about me sleeping in my car when OMNR paid for rooms in the Red Oak Inn, two things don't add up here.
(1) How did I arrange to get my car moved from B.C. to T-Bay so I could sleep in it when I was sent to T-Bay.
(2) Did OMNR know that I refused to sleep in the accommodations they paid for?
You answer those little items and we can then move forward in this fascinating little discussion Green Hornet.

I'm sure you would be welcome in their group.
