Question about Pressurization

Post by DA900 »

Hi all this maybe a dumb question. I am a fixed wing guy, but is there or has there ever been a pressurized helicopter? If not is there one been looked at? Just wondering

Thanks

Only one i can think of is a MIL-26. But otherwise i can't think of reason you would need a pressurized helicopter. Most work is below 1000 agl and VNE drops with altitude and it's significant at 10000+ ft. Cruise speeds can be close to VNE at sea level in some heli's. There nothing to see up there, and really who wants to talk to ATC
