Had a Porter interview a week ago. Has anybody who has interviewed lately heard back from them? Anybody know the time frame on getting back to candidates with good or bad news?

Does anyone know what kind of pilot sked. porter runs on??

How many days on/off you get usually in a month.....and does everyone one share the monthly sched. or is it based on seniority??

thanks in advance!

Porter's hiring close to 40 pilots this session and will continue on hiring next year since we've got only 8 of 18 committed a/c purchased so far. (and don't even think we're stopping at 18!!!) The pilots are on a seniority bid system and the pairings vary quite a bit from single day am or pm pairings(YUL,EWR,YQB,YTM,MDW,YHZ), multi 2 (YOW,EWR,YHZ) or 3(weekenders..YUL) days, some "there late and back early the next am "splits" (YUL and EWR). Min days off are 10 but unless you mess up your bid or only work splits and/or single "there and backs" you'll have around 15.

Has anyone received a PFO letter/e-mail, any kind of notice or status update from them? Interviewed five weeks ago and have heard nothing.

I got a nice email from one hr guy saying that he liked my hat. It's one of those old school type one's that a 1930's paperboy would wear. I appreciated the compliment.

The only low time people hired that I know of had Dash 8 time. However, I would strongly suggest you apply, even if you are not sure you qualify. At the very least, you will be tracked in the system and there will be lots of hiring in the next year.

As for the schedule, I'm about half-way up the seniority list, and have 19 scheduled days off this month, weekends off, and am home every night.... 10 days off is the minimum, but if you bid to work longer days when you work, then it is possible to have a lot of days off.

Hi there,

Porter sounds like a great outfit, just wondering what the bond is like and the pay.

Thanks very much.

I've not heard anything as of yet concerning the December or January courses. Does anyone know if they've started calling for these?

If anyone can PM the usual details, ie, FO, pay, sked, raises, upgrades and anything else they could think of I would appreciated.

Was called for an interview for Dec sometime.

Cheers

They're all posted here if you take the initiative to use the search function.
