Post by AEROMONKEY »

Was at work today when i saw this badboy approaching on 25...what a site...it didn't land but did a nice extremely slow looking flyby. Thanks to the Military for the brief look!

The C-17 is in town for a mock exercise. Did I nice flyby touched down / came to a stop shortly after the 500 footers. Left obvious markings upon touchdown and it's entire breaking period... down 25, was a very interesting site. It did a short take off as well, which was quite entertaining. Should be back a few more times this weekend. The grads were not Confed graduates, they just decided to do a nice pass as it's the AC firt time arriving in YQT.

taxes at work...it's really nice. Now don't complain about your high taxes, they should be higher so we could have a real feet of those toys, not just 4.

A big thank you to the boys and girls of the 429 for their fly-by here in YQL on November 11th. It was a great addition to our Remembrance Day ceremonies and their participation was greatly appreciated. Thanks too for the job you do every day!

Our son was on that flight to Lethbridge for the November 11 parade. He is an aviation tech for the DND and part of squandron 429 and loves his job. I have been fortunate to see that baby take off in Trenton and wow what a sight.... Thanks to all the people who serve and protect us!!

Had one land 15 in YZF and almost make Alfa without the backtrack. That's 1400 feet down from the threshold. I think it was grounding 90 kts. With roll-out it was about 2000 feet landing distance.

All I can say is...its about fu.king time, after many years of neglecting our military, finally a government that sees the need for outfit our volunteer Service Men and Women!

They do a damn good good with what they got, often beating, in competitions, those with more 'modern high tech equipment' and now they can do even better.

Hats off to our Troops!
